Mule d’Ane-versaire took 55 riders supported by a crew of 10 on a loop from St Malo. The seven days of riding took place in Mont St Michel, Vitre, Nantes, Saint Nazaire and Rennes before heading back to St Malo. There were different options for distance and speed, with three routes to choose from each day: 55/60 miles, 80/85 miles and 100 miles.
The first OF&D ride was in 2014 and there have been three rides since, with Mule Normandie (2016), and Mule Loire (2018), and the Covid delayed Mule Aquitaine in 2022. The rides have raised over £180,000, which has hugely contributed to has helped OF&D reach the fantastic milestone of raising over £250,000.
All of the money has stayed on the Island to support local charities working with children, adults and young people with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. For more details about the projects and charities OF&D has been able to support with the funds raised please click here.
Well done to all the riders including OEs: Kevin Allan (7907), Ian Allsopp (7564), Mark Pattimore (6793), Chris Robilliard (5850), Mark Rogers (7471) and Terry Wright (5942). They collectively rode more than 31,000 miles.
