Appointed as Guernsey Cricket Development Manager in January 2019, Ben is responsible for the managing and coaching of the junior programmes for cricket on the island as well as the Elizabeth College First XI.
Along with his university degree in Sports Development and Coaching and Applied Sports Exercise Studies, Ferbrache has recently completed his ECB level 3 advanced coach qualification. He has been a member of the Guernsey first team since 2005.
"As an OE and First XI Captain one thing that has always been an ambition of mine is to help grow and develop Elizabeth College cricket. Last year, the First XI finished runners up in the Bowl competition and it got us thinking about how we can challenge this group of players.
I sat down with Elizabeth College Head of Sport Tom Eisenhuth and OE Director Steve Sharman, and asked about the possibility of creating a current First XI and Old Elizabethan mixed team to enter into the Premier Weekend League competition. Tom was as excited at the prospect, as I was, and from there we have formed the first of the Old Elizabethan Association Sports to enter into the local sporting leagues."
