I live in the Coastal town of Belmont, NSW Australia, which is located about sixty miles north of Sydney. I have been retired for many years now as I am eighty three years old.
By profession I was a Navigating Officer in the Merchant Navy, (Commercial Shipping.) I then came ashore in Australia and was involve in supervising the loading and discharging of large cargo ships, mainly in the port of Newcastle NSW.
I have returned to Guernsey on several occasions, the last time in 2019 to scatter my brother's ashes on the cliffs near Fermain Bay. (William Marshall OE 4746).
One of my most enjoyable hobbies over the last twenty five years has been riding my motorcycles along the East Coast of Australia with friends, I am fortunately still able to do this.
