Allister Carey MBE (5465) was at Elizabeth College today collecting the bikes students and staff had donated to The Eleanor Foundation in support of this year’s Eco Day.
The Eleanor Foundation has been collecting old and unwanted bicycles since 2013 and have collected more than 4,000 bikes during this time. The next shipment will be leaving Guernsey in May 2024 so if you have a bike that you no longer use or want taking up space in a shed or garage, let them know and they can give your old pushang a new lease of life transforming lives in rural Africa.
Eco day is always a really popular event in the College calendar and pictures from the day can be viewed on the Elizabeth College Facebook page – here. On Eco Day 28 bikes were dontated – thank you!
