At its Annual General Meeting on 24th October in London, Callum Beaton (6416) was elected Deputy President of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for 2025 (and will subsequently become President in 2026).

The CII is a professional body dedicated to building public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. Its strapline Standards. Professionalism. Trust. embodies its commitment to driving confidence in the power of professional standards: competence, integrity and care for the customer. They deliver that commitment through relevant learning, insightful leadership and an engaged membership. The 122,000 CII members commit to high professional standards by maintaining continuing professional development and adhering to a published ethical code.

The CII’s activities extend to supporting Local Institutes around Britain (and affiliates overseas) and the Insurance Institute of Guernsey is one such Local Institute.  (Callum was President of the Local Institute in 2012/13.)
