2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey from occupying forces and the subsequent return of Elizabeth College from exile in Derbyshire. To mark this special occasion,we have a very exciting trip planned.
The itinerary will be as follows:
Friday 23 May:
Fly Guernsey-Manchester 06.50am, then onward coach to Sheffield where you will enjoy some free time before a very special OEA Dinner at The Cutlers' Hall. Stay overnight at the Premier Inn, Sheffield.
Saturday 24 May:
We will enjoy a tour of the locations followed by lunch at The Bull's Head, then a buffet dinner at the Palace Hotel, Buxton where rooms are booked for an overnight stay.
Sunday 25 May:
After breakfast, the College Chaplain, the Reverend Peter Graysmith, will lead a church service at Tideswell Church which is where the College boys worshipped during their time in Derbyshire. There will then be a coach to Manchester airport for the return journey to Guernsey on the 7.05pm flight.
We have created price packages for those based in Guernsey and those in the UK, and there is also an option if you would just like to come to the OEA Dinner in Sheffield. Prices are below:
Guernsey package - single person £640
Guernsey package - a couple £1,106
UK package - single person £378
UK package - a couple £582
OEA Dinner in Sheffield on Friday - £75 per person
